The research group works in the field of cardiovascular disease, particularly ischemic involvement and heart failure. The objectives are to study the diagnostic and prognostic value of various biomarkers in acute coronary syndrome and heart failure and myocardial damage in Emergencies.

Cardiovascular disease, the group is working on clinical studies on ischemic heart disease, kidney failure, heart failure and hypertension. Heart failure, the group focuses its activity on the study of clinical and biological markers of sudden death. Myocardial damage, the group is working on the clinical and prognostic profile, of type 1, type 2 myocardial infarction, acute myocardial damage and chronic myocardial damage.
