OBJECTIUS

L’m-health afegeix als avantatges de l’e-Health tots els beneficis relacionats amb la ubiqüitat dels dispositius mòbils. A causa del fet que l’m-Health i les Smart Cities són estudiades de forma independent. No obstant això, la infraestructura i les tecnologies de les ciutats intel·ligents poden ser aprofitades i es barregen amb els conceptes de m-Health i telemedicina per crear un nou i molt més potent concepte: la Salut Intel·ligent (Smart Health).

Així mateix, la Intel·ligència Artificial també juga un paper fonamental en la recentment desenvolupada Salut Cognitiva (Cognitive Healthcare, en anglès) que permet integrar sistemes artificials en el desenvolupament de fàrmacs, elaboració de diagnòstics, i seguiments de pacients, entre d’altres.

El grup de recerca SMHEALTH aplica els següents conceptes per millorar la qualitat de vida de les persones, els processos assistencials, sanitaris, entre d’altres.
